Saunum Air Perfect 7 Sauna Heater

The Saunum Air Perfect 7 Sauna Heater is a 7 kW wall-mounted electric sauna heater with Saunum's climate equalizer built in, for rooms of 210 to 350 cu ft. It runs on 240V single phase and draws 28.75 A, and it needs the AirIQ control and stones, both sold separately.

A fan inside the heater draws the scorching air trapped at the ceiling down a telescopic intake, mixes it with the cooler, more oxygenated air at floor level, and pushes the blend back out across the room. The point is to close the gap between the temperature at your head and the temperature at your feet, which in an ordinary sauna can be over 100°F.

This 7kW heater is designed for sauna rooms from 210 to 350 cubic feet (CF). Steam water is evenly distributed through the top layer of stones, reducing thermal shock to both the heating elements and the lower stones, and promoting a more consistent sauna experience. The patented air mixing system ensures exceptional heat that is soft, long, and evenly distributed throughout the sauna room.

Two things are not in the box and the heater will not run without them.

Saunum states in this model's installation manual that it is built to UL 875 and CSA C22.2 No. 164. Its published UL certificate names the Air 5, Air 7 and Air 10 only, so we do not describe this model as UL listed. Ask us if your inspector needs a certificate for this exact model.

The distances Saunum publishes in the installation manual for this series. The fan needs clear air in front of it or the equalizer cannot do its job.

Saunum publishes no separate rear or floor clearance for these heaters — they hang on the wall. Follow the mounting height and fixings in the manual.

Saunum lists these as options for this model.

• Hardwired on a dedicated circuit by a licensed electrician. The electrical connection is at the bottom rear of the heater.
• Load the stones loosely so air moves between them, and keep the air intake and outlet clear — the equalizer is a fan, and a blocked fan does nothing.
• Saunum requires a completed installation report signed by the electrician for the warranty to stand.
