Harvia Vega Compact 1900 1.9 kW Electric Sauna Heater with Built-In Controls Sale price$915.00 USD Regular price$1,016.67 USD
Description

The Harvia Vega Compact 1900 is a 1.9 kW wall-mounted electric sauna heater for rooms of 70–106 adjusted cubic feet running on 120VAC 1PH. It takes 29 lb of 5-10cm sauna stones (sold separately). Controls are built into the heater, so no separate control unit is required.

Vega Compact exists for rooms that every other heater is too big for: closet conversions, one-person cabins, barrel sauna ends and pre-fab kits under 175 cu ft. It measures 11 × 11 in and hangs on the wall with built-in controls, so the entire install is a bracket and a circuit.

  • Switches can be installed on the right or left side of the heater
  • Smallest footprint in the Harvia range at 11 × 11 in
  • Runs on a dedicated 120 V circuit — no 240 V feed required
  • Built-in controls — no separate control unit required

Sizing

The Harvia Vega Compact 1900 is rated for 70–106 adjusted cubic feet.

Adjusted cubic feet = width × depth × height in feet, plus 45 cu ft for every square foot of glass, tile, concrete or stone, plus 15 cu ft for every square foot of exposed log wall. A 6 × 7 ft room with a 7 ft ceiling is 294 raw cu ft — add a full-glass door and it becomes 834. Always size to the adjusted number.

Model Output Room Volume Stones Rated Amps
Vega Compact 1900 1.9 kW 70–106 cu ft 29 lbs 15.9
Vega Compact 3500 3.5 kW 70–175 cu ft 29 lbs

Installation & Use Notes
  • Mount to the clearances given in the installation manual. The temperature sensor goes on the wall above the heater, at the height the manual specifies.
  • Load the stones loosely by hand, largest at the bottom, so air moves freely between them. Never run the heater with an empty or tightly packed stone space.
  • Pour small ladlefuls of clean water onto the hot stones only — never onto the body, elements or controls. Mix any scented oil into the bucket first.
  • Re-stack the stones once a year and replace any that have cracked or crumbled.
  • Stones ship separately on their own freight because of the weight.
FAQs

Does the Harvia Vega Compact 1900 include a control unit?

Yes. The thermostat and timer are built into the heater body, so there is nothing else to buy to run it. The trade-off is that you cannot start it from outside the room or from a phone.

Can the Harvia Vega Compact 1900 be plugged into a normal outlet?

No. It is a hardwired appliance on its own dedicated circuit, rated at 15.9 A. A licensed electrician sizes the breaker and conductors from the nameplate and installation manual.

How long does the Harvia Vega Compact 1900 take to heat up?

Harvia does not publish a figure. A correctly sized, well-insulated room is usually ready in 30 to 60 minutes. Consistently longer than an hour normally means the heater is undersized for the room's adjusted cubic feet.
