Description

The HUUM CORE is a 6.5, 9 or 10.5 kW electric sauna heater for rooms of 177–566 cubic feet, supplied as an unfinished body with a black or stainless trim ring. You finish the exterior yourself in tile, stone, glass or HUUM's wood panels, and it can be recessed into a bench. It holds 66 lb of stones and requires a HUUM UKU control, sold separately.

CORE is the heater you finish yourself. The same 12.2 in column takes a black metal case, no case at all, or alder, aspen or thermo-aspen cladding, and it can be recessed into a bench so only the stones show. It is the lightest heater in the range at 41.9 lb and holds the smallest stone charge, 66 lb.

The HUUM CORE is rated for 177–566 cubic feet.

Measure width × depth × height in feet. Add extra volume for anything that soaks up heat rather than reflecting it — glass, tile, concrete, stone and exposed log all make a room behave larger than its raw measurement. Size to the larger number: an undersized heater never gets the room right, and running it flat out shortens the elements.

Installation & Use Notes
  • Mount to the clearances given in the installation manual.
  • HUUM specifies rounded olivine stones, not the split-face stones other brands use. Load them loosely by hand so air moves freely, and never run the heater with an empty or tightly packed stone space.
  • The UKU temperature sensor mounts inside the hot room on the wall above the heater. Sensor position changes how the room behaves more than any setting on the panel does.
  • Pour small ladlefuls of clean water onto the stones only — never onto the body or the elements. Mix any scented oil into the bucket first.
  • This is an LTL freight item. It arrives curbside on a pallet — note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign.
