The HUUM DROP 9 is a 9 kW wall-mounted electric sauna heater for rooms of 282–530 cubic feet on a 240V single-phase supply. It holds 122 lb of stones and requires a HUUM UKU control, sold separately.

DROP is the heater HUUM is best known for: a rounded, water-drop form that softens a room otherwise made of straight lines. It hangs on the wall, which frees the floor in a small room, and it still carries 122 lb of stones — more than some wood stoves — so the steam is soft and lasts between pours.

  • HUUM specifies rounded olivine stones, not the split-face stones other brands use. Load them loosely by hand so air moves freely, and never run the heater with an empty or tightly packed stone space.
  • The UKU temperature sensor mounts inside the hot room on the wall above the heater. Sensor position changes how the room behaves more than any setting on the panel does.
  • Pour small ladlefuls of clean water onto the stones only — never onto the body or the elements. Mix any scented oil into the bucket first.
