How to Choose the Right Bromic Heater
Electric vs. gas. Electric heaters are clean, quiet, dimmable, and easy to install where power is available — ideal for covered patios and smaller zones. Gas heaters put out more heat for large or exposed areas and don't need an electrical run for the heat itself, though they do require an electrical connection for ignition.
Sizing the space. Match the heater's output to your area. Compact electric models (2300W–3400W) suit intimate seating zones; higher-output electric (4500W–6000W) and gas models cover larger patios. Mounting two or more units gives even coverage across a wide space.
Mounting and clearance. Bromic heaters wall-mount, ceiling-mount, or recess flush into a ceiling. For high ceilings, add a suspension kit to drop the heater to the optimal 8'–9' height; for tight ceilings, a low-clearance recess kit or heat deflector reduces the required clearance. Every fixed heater must be installed by a licensed technician.
Control. Pair electric heaters with an On/Off or Dimmer control for wireless and app operation; gas heaters are on/off only and pair with an On/Off control or wall switch. Yes. Bromic heaters are built specifically for outdoor and semi-enclosed spaces, using infrared radiant heat that warms people and objects directly so performance holds up even in wind. They are weather resistant, though as with any outdoor product, covered installation and care extend their life.
Do Bromic heaters come with a controller?
Most do not — Bromic intentionally sells controls separately because preferences vary. The exception is the Eclipse and Eclipse Portable, which include their own control. For all other Tungsten and Platinum models, add a Bromic On/Off control, Dimmer control (electric only), or manual wall switch.
Can Bromic electric heaters be dimmed?
Yes — Bromic electric heaters can be dimmed in increments using a Bromic Dimmer control. Gas heaters are on/off only; if you want adjustable output, choose an electric model.
How are Bromic heaters mounted?
They can be wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted on a pole, or recessed flush into a ceiling. Electric models ship with a complimentary 8" pole; longer suspension poles and recess kits are available separately for high or low ceilings.
