The Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat 300 Series is a 23,600 BTU infrared gas patio heater that warms up to 160 sq. ft. It comes in Natural Gas or Liquid Propane, mounts on a wall or ceiling under cover, plugs into a standard 110V outlet for ignition, and works with the Bromic Affinity On/Off smart control (sold separately). For ceiling installs, choose a ceiling mount pole sized to your ceiling height, from 10ft 6in to 13ft 1in. Mount it at least 8ft above the floor. Without a deflector it needs 3ft of clearance to the ceiling and to each side; the heat deflector (BH3030001-1) cuts the ceiling clearance to 14in. Gas heaters are on/off only, and controls are not included and are sold separately. Switch the outlet with a standard wall switch, or add the Bromic Affinity On/Off control, which runs up to 10 gas heaters from the Bromic Heating app.

Does a gas patio heater need electricity?
Yes. It comes with a power cord for a standard 110V outlet and draws 2 amps for its electronic ignition. Several heaters can share one switched outlet circuit.
Does it work in windy conditions?
Yes. Platinum gas heaters use a patented screen and an ionization probe to keep burning steadily in breezy conditions, and automatic direct ignition means there is no pilot light to blow out.
Can I install it under a covered patio?
Yes, and Bromic requires it to be protected from rain, so a covered patio is the right spot. Mount it at least 8ft above the floor with 3ft of clearance to the ceiling (14" with the heat deflector) and 3ft to each side. The space must be open-air with natural ventilation, such as a patio cover with no more than two walls; it is not approved for indoor use.
How do I control a Bromic gas heater?

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the continental United States only. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada at this time.
How long will my order take?
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days, and orders placed before 2 PM EST start processing the same day. Orders don't process or ship on weekends or holidays, so anything placed after 2 PM on Friday or over the weekend starts processing the next business day. In-stock items usually arrive within 3-9 business days.

How does freight delivery work?
Larger items ship by freight. Here's what to expect:
- The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, Monday to Friday
- Someone 18 or older needs to be there to receive and sign for it
