The Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Marine 4500W is an ultra-slim electric infrared patio heater that warms up to 143 sq. ft. Its AISI 316 marine-grade stainless steel body is made for coastal and waterfront spaces. It mounts on a wall or ceiling or recesses flush, runs on 208V or 240V, and works with Bromic Affinity On/Off and Dimmer smart controls (sold separately). It is the most powerful Marine model, built for large coastal patios and hospitality spaces.

The heater ships with a mounting bracket that works for both wall and ceiling installs. For high ceilings, add a 24in or 48in suspension kit; for a flush built-in look, choose a recess kit, which needs 10in of space above the heater, or the low clearance recess kit for shallower ceilings. Marine heaters use the matching 316 stainless marine kits. Controls are not included and are sold separately. Add a Bromic Affinity On/Off or Dimmer control to run it from the free Bromic Heating app, or wire it to a manual wall switch.
How much area does the Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Marine 4500W heater cover?
Up to 143 square feet, a heat zone of about 11ft x 13ft, when mounted at the recommended 9ft. Bromic's figures assume about 60°F in a covered, low-wind space. It is the largest Platinum electric model. For bigger areas, space several heaters along the seating zone.
What is the difference between the Platinum Marine and the standard Platinum?
The Marine version is built from AISI 316 marine-grade stainless steel instead of 304, so it resists salt air and corrosion in coastal and waterfront installs. Heat output, coverage and size match the standard Platinum of the same wattage. Bromic warranties the Marine model for 5 years on land-based installs and 3 years on marine vessels.
What electrical supply does it need?
It is hardwired on 208V or 240V. Rated current: 240V / 18.8A, 208V / 21.6A. Bromic requires installation by a licensed electrician to local code.
How high should it be mounted?
Bromic recommends about 9ft. The minimum is 71" from the floor on a wall mount and 96" on a ceiling mount. Leave about 39" (1m) of open space in front, and keep at least 20" between heaters.
Can it be installed outdoors in the rain?
It is IP55 rated and built for covered outdoor spaces, but Bromic's manual says the heater should not be directly exposed to rain or water. Mount it under a roof, pergola cover or overhang.
Can it be recessed into the ceiling?
Yes. The standard recess kit needs 10 inches of space above the heater. If you have less, use the low clearance recess kit.
How do I control it?
Controls are sold separately. Pair it with a Bromic Affinity On/Off or Affinity Dimmer control to run it from the free Bromic Heating app, with timers and schedules, or wire it to a manual wall switch. The Dimmer adjusts heat output in 1% steps.

We currently ship within the continental United States only. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada at this time.

How does freight delivery work?
Larger items ship by freight. Here's what to expect:
- The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, Monday to Friday
- Someone 18 or older needs to be there to receive and sign for it
