The Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat 4000W is a hardwired electric infrared patio heater that warms up to 120 sq. ft. It mounts on a wall or ceiling, runs on 208V, 240V or 277V, and works with Bromic Affinity On/Off and Dimmer smart controls (sold separately). It suits mid-size patios, outdoor dining and commercial terraces.

Bromic's Tungsten pairs a honeycomb mesh screen with a quartz infrared element and a mirror-finish parabolic reflector, so it heats people and furniture directly instead of the air around them. The adjustable bracket lets you aim the heat, and optional recess and suspension kits let it sit flush in a ceiling or drop from a high one.

The heater ships with a 9.5in mounting bracket that works for both wall and ceiling installs. For high ceilings, add the 3ft suspension kit; for a flush built-in look, choose a ceiling recess kit in black or white. Controls are not included and are sold separately. Add a Bromic Affinity On/Off or Dimmer control to run it from the free Bromic Heating app, or wire it to a Bromic dual wall switch.
How much area does the Bromic Tungsten 4000W heater cover?
Up to 120 square feet, based on Bromic's rating for a sheltered space with the heater mounted at 8ft. Open, cold or windy spots get less. For a smaller space the 3000W (100 sq. ft.) is enough; for more reach choose the 6000W (144 sq. ft.) or use several heaters.
What electrical supply does it need?
It is hardwired on 208V, 240V or 277V. Rated current: 240V / 16.6A, 208V / 19.23A, 277V / 14.44A. Bromic requires installation by a licensed electrician to local code.
How high should it be mounted?
Bromic recommends about 8-9ft. The minimum is 72" from the floor on a wall mount and 96" on a ceiling mount. Leave 3ft of open space in front and at least 20" between heaters.
Can it be used indoors or under a covered patio?
Yes. Bromic rates the Tungsten Electric for indoor and outdoor spaces such as covered patios, restaurants, bars and hotels. It is not for bathrooms, laundry rooms or similar wet indoor areas.
Is it waterproof?
It is IPX4 rated against splashing water. For outdoor installs, Bromic recommends mounting it under cover, protected from rain and weather where possible, with the face angled down. Use IPX4 rated conduit fittings and cord grips to keep that rating.
How do I control a Bromic Tungsten electric heater?
Controls are sold separately. Pair it with a Bromic Affinity On/Off or Affinity Dimmer control to run it from the free Bromic Heating app, with timers and schedules, or wire it to a Bromic dual wall switch. The Dimmer adjusts heat output in 1% steps.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the continental United States only. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada at this time.
How long will my order take?
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days, and orders placed before 2 PM EST start processing the same day. Orders don't process or ship on weekends or holidays, so anything placed after 2 PM on Friday or over the weekend starts processing the next business day. In-stock items usually arrive within 3-9 business days.

How does freight delivery work?
Larger items ship by freight. Here's what to expect:
- The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, Monday to Friday
- Someone 18 or older needs to be there to receive and sign for it
- Delivery is curbside, lowered by liftgate to your driveway or nearest accessible spot
- Please double check your phone number at checkout so you don't miss the carrier's call
