03

Your electronic ignition

Ignition control

Outdoor Rated Electrical Dial Timer - 110V $466.00

Ignition control

Electrical Emergency Shut-Off Button - 110V $466.00

The Outdoor Plus warrants ignition and control components only when they are bought with a pan and burner kit or a complete fire feature, so adding these alongside the fire feature keeps them covered.

04

For the natural gas hook-up

Choosing natural gas above? House gas arrives higher than a burner is built for, and a regulator brings it down to the pressure the burner expects.

CSA Certified Natural Gas Regulator - 1/2 Inch $156.00

Have your gas professional confirm the supply pressure and the manifold pressure your burner needs before ordering.

Description

The Maya 36" pairs a clean square silhouette with the sound of moving water, giving a pool deck or patio a centerpiece that works just as well lit or unlit. A 12" stainless steel burner delivers 65,000 BTU of radiant warmth while a 10" copper scupper carries a wide sheet of water over the front face.

This configuration uses the Smart Weather low voltage electronic ignition (30VDC), which adds flame sensing and ties into pool and spa automation or a wall switch. Cast from glass-fiber-reinforced concrete (GFRC), which is stronger and roughly 50% lighter than ordinary concrete, the Maya is built to sit outdoors year-round.

Highlights
  • 65,000 BTU · 12" 304 stainless steel burner
  • 36"L x 36"W x 12"H · 20" base width · GFRC concrete
  • 10" copper scupper · 7-10 GPM water flow
  • Low voltage electronic ignition (30VDC) with flame sensing
  • Works with pool and spa automation or a wall switch
  • Natural gas or propane · Handcrafted in the USA · 50 lbs lava rock included

Frequently Asked Questions

What power does the 30VDC ignition need?

The system runs from a GFCI-protected transformer, so electrical power has to be available at the install location. One transformer can drive up to four burners, which is why this version suits multi-bowl pool installs. Follow the low voltage ignition manual above for the wiring detail.

Can it tie into my pool automation?

Yes. The Smart Weather system is designed to work with pool and spa automation or a simple wall switch, so the bowl can be turned on from the same controller you already use.

Does the Maya run on natural gas or propane?

Both. Each Maya is built to order for the fuel you select, natural gas or liquid propane. Converting between fuels later is not a simple swap; it should be performed by a qualified gas professional using the correct orifice and components.

Can the fire and the water run at the same time?

Yes. The burner and the scupper operate independently, so you can run the flame on its own, the water on its own, or both together. The water feature draws from a separate supply and pump rather than from the gas system.

Do I need a pool to use it?

No. The Maya is most often installed at the edge of a pool so the scupper spills into the water, but it can also be plumbed to a basin or a recirculating reservoir for a patio install. Either way the water side needs a supply and a pump sized for 7-10 GPM.

Can you roast marshmallows over it?

We do not recommend it. Sugar and food drippings can clog the burner ports and stain the fire media, affecting performance. The Maya is built as a clean-burning decorative fire feature.
