A gas regulator steps incoming line pressure down to the pressure a burner is actually built to run at. Get it wrong and a fire feature runs high, runs low, or burns unevenly, so on most natural gas installations the regulator is not optional.

- Regulates outlet pressure from 4 to 12 inches of water column

Do I need a regulator on my fire pit?
On most natural gas installations, yes. House gas arrives at a pressure higher than a fire pit burner is designed for, and the regulator brings it down to the 4 to 12 inches of water column range the burner expects. Your gas professional will confirm what your specific install needs.
Will this work on propane?
No. This is a natural gas regulator. Propane runs at a different pressure and needs its own regulator.
What size are the connections?
1/2" on both the inlet and the outlet, which matches the gas line size used on most fire pit installations.
Gas-operated appliances and fire features must be installed in accordance with local building and fire codes. Improper installation may result in property damage or injury. Professional installation is recommended.
