The HUUM HIVE Flow Mini is a 8.5 kW wood-burning sauna stove for rooms of 212–494 cubic feet. It holds 231 lb of stones, needs no electrical supply, and requires a code-compliant chimney.

HUUM's wood stoves are built around keeping heat in the room rather than sending it up the chimney — HUUM puts the figure at 75% of the fire's heat going into the sauna. They need no electrical supply at all, which is what makes them the answer for an off-grid cabin.

  • A solid-fuel appliance usually needs a permit and an inspection in the US, and your insurer will normally want to see the sign-off.
  • Burn the stove with the room ventilated for the first firing to cure the paint. Load stones loosely by hand and re-stack them once a year.
  • This is an LTL freight item. It arrives curbside on a pallet — note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign.
