The Harvia Linear 22 GreenFlame ES is a 15.7 kW wood-burning sauna stove for rooms of 318–636 cubic feet. It takes 88 lb of 10-15cm sauna stones (sold separately), needs no electrical supply, and requires a code-compliant chimney.
Linear stoves are built around a tall, narrow firebox — roughly 17 in wide — which is what you want when the stove has to sit in a corner or against a short wall in a compact room. The vertical proportion also raises the stone bed closer to pouring height.
These are not included. You need them before the sauna will run.

The Harvia Linear 22 GreenFlame ES is rated for 318–636 adjusted cubic feet.
Adjusted cubic feet = width × depth × height in feet, plus 45 cu ft for every square foot of glass, tile, concrete or stone, plus 15 cu ft for every square foot of exposed log wall. A 6 × 7 ft room with a 7 ft ceiling is 294 raw cu ft — add a full-glass door and it becomes 834. Always size to the adjusted number.
| Model | Output | Room Volume | Stones |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linear 18 Compact Black | 14.3 kW | 177–636 cu ft | 88 lbs |
| Linear 22 GreenFlame | 15.7 kW | 317–635 cu ft | 88 lbs |
| Linear 22 GreenFlame ES | 15.7 kW | 318–636 cu ft | 88 lbs |
| Linear 16 Black | 17.9 kW | 212–565 cu ft | 80 lbs |
Not directly. Harvia wood stoves are built with 115 mm (4.5 in) European flue pipe, so a North American 6 in system needs the Harvia WZ115155 adapter. Confirm your flue diameter and whether the connection is top or rear before ordering.
A secondary-combustion system that routes part of the combustion air to the top of the fire chamber, so unburned flue gases ignite instead of going up the chimney. Harvia reports materially lower carbon monoxide and particulate emissions as a result.
Harvia does not publish a figure. As a rule of thumb a correctly sized, well-insulated room with a full stone charge is ready 45 to 75 minutes after lighting, and the stones keep giving heat back long after the fire dies down.
