The Harvia Xenio CX45 is a Wi-Fi digital sauna control unit for Harvia heaters up to 17 kW, supplied for 240V single-phase or 208V three-phase. The panel can be mounted inside the sauna or outside it. It is sold separately from the heater and is required for heaters supplied without built-in controls.
The Xenio CX45 is the larger Xenio, for heaters up to 17 kW. Rated 10.8 kW on a single 240V supply wire, 17 kW on two, or 15 kW at 208V three-phase. This is the control most 9 kW and larger Harvia heaters call for.

Heaters with controls built into the body — Harvia KIP-B, The Wall, Vega Compact and the Cilindro PC range — do not take a separate control unit.
- The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater by a licensed electrician; the panel and the temperature sensor are wired back to it to the lengths the installation manual gives.
- The temperature sensor mounts inside the hot room, on the wall above the heater, at the height the manual specifies. Sensor position changes how the room behaves more than any setting on the panel does.
Which Harvia heaters does the Xenio CX45 work with?
Harvia lists it for the Cilindro (Electric), Club, Spirit, Virta and Virta Pro series. Heaters with controls built into the body do not take a separate control unit.
Can the Xenio CX45 be mounted inside the sauna?
Yes — the panel is rated for installation inside the hot room as well as outside it. Most people still mount it outside, because the point of a separate control is starting the sauna before you walk in.
Does the Xenio CX45 need an electrician?
Yes. The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater, and the sensor and data cable have to be run to the manual's specification. In most US jurisdictions that is work a licensed electrician has to do and an inspector signs off.
