The Harvia Xenio CX170 is a Wi-Fi digital sauna control unit for Harvia heaters up to 15 kW, supplied for 240V single-phase or 208V three-phase. The panel can be mounted inside the sauna or outside it. It is sold separately from the heater and is required for heaters supplied without built-in controls.
The Xenio CX170 is the Xenio supplied for KIP heaters, with a 15 ft sensor cable in the box. Rated 10.5 kW on one supply wire or 15 kW on two at 240V, and 15 kW at 208V three-phase.

Harvia lists the Xenio CX170 as the control unit for these heaters.

Heaters with controls built into the body — Harvia KIP-B, The Wall, Vega Compact and the Cilindro PC range — do not take a separate control unit.
- The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater by a licensed electrician; the panel and the temperature sensor are wired back to it to the lengths the installation manual gives.
- The temperature sensor mounts inside the hot room, on the wall above the heater, at the height the manual specifies. Sensor position changes how the room behaves more than any setting on the panel does.
Which Harvia heaters does the Xenio CX170 work with?
Harvia lists it for the KIP series. Heaters with controls built into the body do not take a separate control unit.
Can the Xenio CX170 be mounted inside the sauna?
Yes — the panel is rated for installation inside the hot room as well as outside it. Most people still mount it outside, because the point of a separate control is starting the sauna before you walk in.
Does the Xenio CX170 need an electrician?
Yes. The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater, and the sensor and data cable have to be run to the manual's specification. In most US jurisdictions that is work a licensed electrician has to do and an inspector signs off.
