The Newport 144″ Rectangular fire table is The Outdoor Plus's flagship statement piece—an expansive 12-foot GFRC concrete table anchored by a dramatic 96″ linear flame. With a massive 240,000 BTU output, it commands large patios, restaurant terraces, and resort-scale gathering spaces with effortless presence.
Cast from glass-fiber-reinforced concrete (GFRC)—stronger and about 50% lighter than ordinary concrete—the Newport is built to live outdoors year-round. Run it on natural gas or propane, choose from four ignition systems, and select your finish color.
- 160,000 BTU · 96″ 304 stainless steel burner
- 144″L x 48″W x 30″H · GFRC concrete
- Natural gas or propane
- 4 ignition options: Match Lit, Spark Ignition w/ Flame Sense, 30VDC, 110V Plug & Play
- Handcrafted in the USA · CSA certified · Lava rock included
Best for: Simple installs with no power requirements. Spark Ignition with Flame Sense: Spark ignition with flame-sensing safety control that shuts off gas if the flame is lost.
Best for: Added safety with flame monitoring. Low Voltage Electronic Ignition (30VDC): Electronic ignition powered by a 30VDC transformer. Requires 120V electrical power.
Best for: Low-voltage installs wanting electronic ignition. Plug & Play Electronic Ignition (110V): Electronic ignition for standard household power (120V typical).
Best for: Installs where 120V power is readily available.

Does the Newport run on natural gas or propane?
Both. Each Newport is built to order for the fuel you select—natural gas or liquid propane. Converting between fuels later is not a simple swap; it should be performed by a qualified gas professional using the correct orifice and components.
Does a gas fire table give off real heat?
Yes. At 240,000 BTU the Newport puts out noticeable radiant warmth across a seating area while staying cleaner and lower-maintenance than wood. It is designed as an ambient fire feature rather than a furnace-style patio heater.
Which ignition option should I choose?
Match Lit is the simplest—a manual key valve with no power required. Spark Ignition with Flame Sense adds an automatic safety shutoff if the flame is lost. Low Voltage (30VDC) and Plug & Play (110V) are electronic systems—choose 110V when a standard outlet is nearby, or 30VDC for low-voltage installs. Electronic options require electrical power at the install location.
Can I use the Newport under a covered patio?
It is for outdoor use only and needs adequate overhead clearance and ventilation. Covered or partially enclosed installs must follow the ignition manual and local fuel-gas codes—propane in particular requires proper ventilation. When in doubt, have a licensed installer confirm clearances.
Can you roast marshmallows over it?
We do not recommend it. Sugar and food drippings can clog the burner ports and stain the fire media, affecting performance. The Newport is built as a clean-burning decorative fire feature.
Gas-operated appliances and fire features must be installed in accordance with local building and fire codes. Improper installation may result in property damage or injury. Professional installation is recommended.
