Cooling Engine, Engine Connector (2), Rubber Seals for Engine Connectors (4), Cooling Engine Protector Cover & Filters
Thermo Cover, Thermo Cover Clips (4), Screws for Thermo Cover Clips (4), Filter (3)
Three filters are included. The engine must never be run without a filter fitted — Icetubs voids the warranty if it is.
None of these come with the tub. Have them ready before delivery day.
ElectricalA dedicated 110V / 60 Hz outlet on a GFCI-protected circuit. The engine peaks at 14.5 A, so specify a 20 A circuit and have a licensed electrician confirm it. Water
A garden hose. The Gardena fill and drain attachment is supplied, and no plumbing connection is needed. A Level Base
Concrete, a paver base or a deck rated for the load. Filled with a bather this puts 83 lb/ft² on the surface. Ventilation
At least 20 inches clear of the engine air inlet and outlet. The engine sheds its heat into the surrounding air. Water Care
AquaFinesse treatment weekly and a replacement filter monthly. Both are consumables and are not covered by the warranty.

Every engine has a GFCI breaker built into its power cord, and Icetubs requires the outlet itself to be on a GFCI breaker in the main panel as well. The Cord Box
The breaker box on the cable is water-resistant, not waterproof. Outdoors it must be mounted against a wall, clear of the ground and out of direct rain. Why 20 A
Peak draw is 14.5 A during hard cooling, above what a standard 15 A circuit should carry continuously.
The Operational Manual in the box is the European document and quotes 220–230V at 50 Hz. That is the EU build of the same engine. The unit we ship is the 110V / 60 Hz version — the figures above are the ones to give your electrician.
One 1 HP engine does both the chilling and the heating. It pulls the water down about 3°C (5°F) per hour, depending on ambient conditions.

R32
A cold plunge holds about 106 gallons, so one bather changes the water chemistry far more than they would in a pool. This is the part of ownership people underestimate.
OzoneBuilt in, 200-300 mg/h. Breaks down body oils and organics so the water lasts without chlorine Filter
5-micron mechanical cartridge. Replace monthly for home use, weekly for light commercial. The engine must never run without one Circulation
15 gpm — the full volume passes through the filter and ozonator every 6 minutes Water Changes
Drain and refill every 1 to 2 months, sooner with heavy use Treatment
AquaFinesse weekly, and nothing else. Chlorine, bromine, salt and acids damage the stainless and void the warranty
- Shower before you get in. It is the single biggest thing that extends water life.
- Run the engine at least six hours a day — standing, uncirculated water grows bacteria whether it is cold or not.
- Skim hair and leaves out before and after use, and keep the cover on.
- Wipe the waterline with a damp microfibre cloth; sodium bicarbonate lifts body oils.
Filled with a bather this weighs about 1400 lb. Check what it is standing on before it arrives.
Floor Loading83 lb/ft² distributed. On a deck, have the framing checked; on a floor above grade, check the joists. Indoors
The engine sheds heat into the room, so it needs ventilation. Keep 20 inches clear of the inlet and outlet. Outdoors
Fine down to 23°F while the engine is running. Below that, or below 34°F with the engine off, drain the tub and bring the engine inside. Freeze Damage
Burst pipes from freezing are not covered by the warranty. Nor is an engine that overheats above 104°F ambient.
Icetubs also excludes corrosion damage where the tub is installed within 10 miles of the coast. Worth knowing before you buy if you are near salt air.
The barrels seat you upright with your shoulders under; the baths let you lie back like a bathtub. Both hold roughly the same water, so the choice is posture and floor space, not capacity.

A dedicated 110V / 60 Hz outlet on a GFCI-protected circuit. The engine peaks at 14.5 A, so specify 20 A rather than 15 A and have an electrician confirm it. There is no plumbing to connect — you fill and drain it with a garden hose. How much maintenance does it actually need?
Weekly AquaFinesse dosing, a new filter once a month, and a full drain and refill every one to two months. The built-in ozonator does the day-to-day sanitising, which is why it needs no chlorine — and why chlorine must never go in it. Can I leave it outside through winter?
Down to 23°F with the engine running, yes. Colder than that, drain the tub and move the engine indoors — freeze damage to the pipes is not covered by the warranty.
