The Harvia Fenix FX45 is a Wi-Fi digital sauna control unit for Harvia heaters up to 17 kW, supplied for 240V single-phase or 208V three-phase. The panel mounts outside the hot room. It is sold separately from the heater and is required for heaters supplied without built-in controls.
The Fenix FX45 carries the same load rating as the Xenio CX45 — 10.8 kW on one 240V supply wire, 17 kW on two, 15 kW at 208V three-phase — and is the control Harvia lists for the Virta Pro range.

Heaters with controls built into the body — Harvia KIP-B, The Wall, Vega Compact and the Cilindro PC range — do not take a separate control unit.
- The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater by a licensed electrician; the panel and the temperature sensor are wired back to it to the lengths the installation manual gives.
- The temperature sensor mounts inside the hot room, on the wall above the heater, at the height the manual specifies. Sensor position changes how the room behaves more than any setting on the panel does.
Which Harvia heaters does the Fenix FX45 work with?
Harvia lists it for the Virta Pro series. Heaters with controls built into the body do not take a separate control unit.
Can the Fenix FX45 be mounted inside the sauna?
No. This panel mounts outside the hot room. Only the temperature sensor goes inside, on the wall above the heater.
Does the Fenix FX45 need an electrician?
Yes. The power unit is hardwired between the supply and the heater, and the sensor and data cable have to be run to the manual's specification. In most US jurisdictions that is work a licensed electrician has to do and an inspector signs off.
