The American Made Grills Atlas 42" Built-In Gas Grill (ATS42-B) is a 42-inch built-in gas grill designed for permanent outdoor kitchen islands. Built and factory-tested in Huntington Beach, California, it runs on 3 main 304 stainless U-tube burners producing 49,500 BTUs total (16,500 BTU each), with ceramic briquette flame tamers for even heat and flare-up control. The Atlas is the compact-footprint entry in the AMG lineup — it does not include a rear infrared burner or rotisserie kit. Its standout spec is the 8mm square-profile stainless grates, which increase food contact surface for wider, more defined sear marks versus round-rod grates. Dual-position warming racks, LED-backlit knobs, halogen interior lighting, and flame thrower ignition are included. Backed by AMG's Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty.

  • 8mm Square-Profile Stainless Grates: Unlike round-rod grates, the square cross-section creates a flat contact face against food, widening sear marks and improving heat transfer to protein surfaces.
  • Dual-Position Warming Racks: Two adjustable warming racks allow food staging at different heights — hold finished items on the upper rack while cooking on the grates below.
  • Ceramic Easy-Clean Briquette System: Briquettes absorb radiant burner heat, suppress flare-ups, and distribute heat evenly. The tray slides out for cleaning without removing grates.
  • 16,500-BTU U-Tube Burners (3 main burners): Three independent burner zones allow multi-temperature cooking across the 42" cooking surface.
  • Double-Lined Hood + Spring Assist: The 18-gauge double-lined hood prevents exterior heat discoloration and lifts easily with spring assist.
